Palliative & Hospice Care
What is the Difference Between Palliative and Hospice Care?
- Palliative care can begin at diagnosis, and at the same time as treatment.
- Hospice care begins after treatment of the disease is stopped and when it is clear that the person is not going to survive the illness.
Our aides will be a part of your chosen care team. They will be responsible for providing comfort care for palliative and hospice clients. This care is provided within a patient’s home or at a hospice facility. Our aides will care for a patient’s personal needs, changing bed linens, assisting with transportation, bathing patients, transferring from beds to wheelchairs, maintaining accurate and confidential records regarding each patient, preparing meals, checking various vital signs, performing duties requested by clients and families.
